PIEMNU25.TBK - by Paolo Tosolini October '92
---------------------------------------------
This is an Asymetrix Toolbook v. 1.5 file.
PIEMNU25.TBK improves usability of the PieMenu for programmers who
like the idea and want to adopt it.
I remember the improvements from v. 1.0 to 2.0 that still remain:
- new eye-catching look of the PieMenu
- opportunity to navigate through the pages of the book without ever
showing the PieMenu
- opportunity to navigate through the pages of the book showing the
PieMenu on keeping pressed the mouseButton.
- increased speed of the PieMenu appearance
- increased feedback to the user through displaying of his action
From v. 2.0 to this one (v. 2.5) I modified:
- use of the RIGHTmouseButton (not LEFT one anymore) for the PieMenu:
this is to avoid conflicts with hotwords in the same page.
- presence of one (hidden) copy of the PieMenu group on every background
instead of each page. The menu is self copying while
turning the page.
- no more flickering on the commands of the Pie.
The book contains all the instruction to apply the Pie Menu in
your own application. No fee or money is absolutely required.
Suggestions and new ideas are welcome. Let's try togheter to
improve Toolbook's application interfaces.
Other ideas will be implemented in further releases of PieMenu.
Please, email your opinion, and you will be kept updated directly
of new coming versions.
